Digital Copies Incoming!

Greetings, Knights! 

You should all be receiving an email from DriveThru RPG today with links to the digital and ditto editions of the game! 

If you don't see it - you can always log in on the site using your Kickstarter email and check your Account Notifications Inbox too - it should be there as a message. 

If you use a different email for DTRPG - please send me a message with the correct email to send it to so I can get it linked up to the correct library.

In other news - I am working on the new cover layout - I decided to do the entire piece as a collage rather than the digital mockup the original sported. It'll be similar, but should ultimately match the rest of the book better. Once that's complete, I'll finish up the endsheet designs and do one last look over the pages before I send it towards the printer.

IF YOU SPOT ANY ERRORS OR TYPOS in the digital copy, please send me an email at [email protected] - Simply put - a lot of the pages were hand written so typos are inevitable and in some cases, intentional, but a list for me to decide what not to fix would be handy before we go to press. 

Stretch Goals - Our intrepid add-on authors are all working on their pamphlet adventures! 

Late Pledges and Pledge Manager - I am working on setting up that page now for late pledges, shipping info and whatnot, but it'll be a few weeks before surveys/links go out!

Knights of the Kingdom Assemble!

We did it! 

I'll be honest, I had no idea what the reaction would be to this book - the look is outside the norm and frankly, I just had a lot of fun playing with expectations on every page. It was a delight pulling in assorted creators and artists to scribble inside it and I just hoped it would do well enough to get a better quality print than the usual POD books I've done in the past. (Not that there's anything wrong with them!) Thanks to all of you we not only hit the goal but unlocked all of the stretch goals I had planned for the book including FOUR FREE printed pamphlet adventures, upgraded pages, foil, glow-in-the-dark, and upgraded cover details, and assorted stickers and mutation kits. Pretty damn awesome. 

What's next? 

Now that the project is over, I will coordinate with my adventure creators to get rolling on their contributions and I'll tidy up the interior cover art and tables I've been picking at for the last week. In about 2 weeks, Kickstarter will send the funds and my plan is to have the files ready to send to the printer at that point and the core book itself will be distributed to everyone at that time as well! At that point, I'll start with the final layout and options for the Mork Borg kit,  and start setting up the Pledge Manager. (I'll likely use Gamefound.) 

At that point, I'll be able to give you a solid timeline, official shipping costs, and hopefully digital versions of the adventures.

More stretch goals fall before the alien assault!

Aided by the slime-slathered swords of the Mörk Borg Mutation add-ons, we've unlocked FIVE stretch goals! 

• UNLOCKED: The Mörk Borg MUTATION Pack! This stretch goal unlocks an optional add-on kit to bring darkness to the Lumen with an envelope of stickers, papers, and art to convert the game to Mörk Borg! Bring your own tape, staples, and blood!
• UNLOCKED: Better Pay For Art! The artists and creators who worked on the book will get a few extra alms in their pockets as well as their hat!

• UNLOCKED: Pamphlet Tables Extra! Lester Burton, creator of GROK?! will create a collection of Pamphlet Tables as a free digital extra! Lester will be hand-typing this on their typewriter! (But then I'll be sending it digitally - they won't be hand-typing one for each backer. They aren't insane, just weird!)
• UNLOCKED: BLACK! The endpapers of the book will now be sweet, edgy BLACK. I always wanted to be a goth, but was waaay too nerdy and into comics and fantasy to fit in, but who has black endpapers in their RPG now, Trevor??  (Unless we hit the later goal to add printed tables instead, in which case this will just fill you with a sense of contentment knowing it was once black.)
• UNLOCKED: Sticky! More Stickers! All physical tiers will get another free sticker. Mörk Borg Mutation backers will get an exclusive additional sticker in their envelope too!

• Cover Upgrade! The cover will now be printed with silky, premium soft-touch lamination, one of my personal favorite finishes for books lately.
• WALLDEN Adventure! Marren MacAdam, creator of LORDSWORN will bring us the FREE digital pamphlet adventure Wallden.

• And More! Printed endsheets, a fourth pamphlet adventure, glow-in-the-dark, and other cool add-ons that will help keep you warm in the darkness of the post-apocalypse.

MUTTERING MÖRK BORG MUTATIONS

Greetings, knights! 

We have unlocked our first pamphlet adventure! Alan Bahr, creator of amazing games like Tiny Dungeon, Crescendo of Violence, Cold Shadows, Tiny Cthulhu, Shadows of a Dying Sun and dozens of others will be creating (And Illustrating!) a pamphlet sized adventure for the game! ALL BACKERS will get the digital copy of this reward, which can be easily printed on a single sheet of paper at home if desired. 

We are also close enough to the next goal that I've gone ahead and updated the pledge levels to reflect our MÖRK BORG MUTATION add-on! 

This $20 add-on option will include everything you need to channel your own inner serial killer and mutate your copy of Attack From Space to use MÖRK BORG's ruleset! The Lumen system that AFS is based on is excellent, and it fits the theme of the game nicely, but the MÖRK BORG version adds a deadlier twist to the game and makes it compatible with the hundreds of other 3rd party MÖRK BORG supplements! 

What is the MÖRK BORG Mutation Pack?

The MBMP will be an envelope of stickers, post-it notes, printed pages, notations, decals, and tip-ins that you will be able to use to physically modify your copy of Attack From Space into a MÖRK BORG compatible game! 

IMPORTANT NOTE: To fully enjoy and experience this add-on, you will have to tape, glue, staple, or otherwise adhere a number of items to the physical pages of your book, altering it forever. I considered doing an entirely separate print run of this version but decided that having the backers (you) join into the spirit and design of this game by mutating the pages yourselves was 100% in keeping with the spirit of the game. This mutation pack will include a selection of die-cut stickers, printed pages and notes as well as a pdf of how and where to apply each item to convert your book! It will also include a digital version of an altered Ditto ruleset with the MÖRK BORG version of the game! 

To add the MÖRK BORG MUTATION Pack, you can change your pledge and add it or select a new reward level that suits your needs. I've added three new tiers that you can select instead of adding the item if you want extra copies of the book or extras. 

$45-THE SCVM KNIGHT: Scvm Knights get Attack From Space in printed hardcover and the MÖRK BORG MUTATION PACK. They will also get digital editions of the Lumen version, the MÖRK BORG Ditto Digital version, and any unlocked stretch goals!

$73-SCVM KN1GHT COLLECTOR: You get two hardcover copies of Attack From Space - one to keep illuminated and a second to deface with the included MÖRK BORG Mutation pack! Also includes all digital editions and any unlocked stretch goals!

$100-THE RAVAGED KINGDOM: This reward includes everything! Two hardcover copies of the book, two printed versions of both ditto versions, the MÖRK BORG Mutation pack, all stretch goal rewards, an EXCLUSIVE METAL BOOKMARK, and 6 printed character sheets for each version of the game!

Bookmarks, Adventures and Mutations coming!

Greetings, Knights! 

It's been a great first week and we have some RAD stretch goals coming! We've unlocked a sticker, better paper, extra alms for the artists and now, a free bookmark! Naturally, I had to keep it era-appropriate with an AFS spin on an old favorite: 

Brain Dwayne will be unlocked as a trading card sized bookmark for all physical backers! 

Our next reward is the first in a planned series of digital pamphlet-sized adventures and additions! ALAN BAHR, award-winning creator and designer responsible for games like Tiny Dungeon, Cold Shadows, Crescendo Of Violence and dozens of other games joins us first, with an adventure currently titled THE TOWER OF THE SEA DEMON!
