Hey everyone! 

Just a quick update: I was finally able to quit everything else this week and focus EXCLUSIVELY on Attack From Space. As of Monday evening, all backers who have finished their pledge manager will have their rewards in the mail! 

I still have a few stragglers who haven't filled out the survey, and I'll be contacting everyone who has had issues with earlier mailings this week. 

I really hope you enjoy this piece of hand-made madness.

Shipping continues, just slowly.

Hey everyone! Just a quick update to let you know I am still shipping rewards, it's just taking me much longer than expected. We have had a really rough few months here - between pet emergencies, illness, and electrical problems, we are drowning in bills. I've taken on a couple of extra "real" jobs in an attempt to (literally) keep the lights on and that's meant I've been working 12-16 hours every day so I'm only getting a couple of shipments out each night. 

Worry not - the shipping funds are still safe and separate from everything and you will get your rewards, they're just taking forever and I'm really sorry about that. 

My pals at Squid Ink are running a Smork Borg campaign now using the sketches I had from an old (deceased) project and the profits from that are earmarked for my bills, so that will hopefully keep the wolves from the door once that's finished and I'll be able to quit some of this and focus on finishing up my projects.

Shipping Recommences!

Hey everyone, long story short, this last month or so has been a cavalcade of crisis and delayed shipping, but things have stabilized and shipping will begin again this week!

Long story long: Shipping started slowly as we realized that Stamps' system integrated VERY poorly with Backerkit's reports and we needed to drop Stamps as our shipping service and learn Pirateship. Luckily - their system is really quite solid and, once we adjusted, things started sailing smoothly. 

Trigger Warning: the next few paragraphs contain discussion of dogs in medical distress.

Naturally, as soon as we started shipping in earnest, our 5-month-old puppy Figgy Puddin' started acting sick, refusing her food, and acting lethargic. After some tests, it was determined that she'd eaten one of my wife's socks and it had started to cause a blockage, serious intestinal problems, and possible necrotic sections. She required emergency surgery and happily, after the removal of a now VERY expensive sock and over 100 staples and stitches, she made it through fine and her recovery has been good. Though keeping a five-month-old hyper pup calm and not breaking everything with her cone has been fun.

Then, while we were handling her recovery and trying to scramble to pay the vet bills, I had a nasty case of kidney stones - likely because I was worried about her and not drinking water or eating the way I should have been. A brutal week and a half of constant agony ensued. 

Saturday, we finally had everything back on track. Fig gets her stitches out next week and she was able to be re-integrated with the other pups this weekend, the spiked stones of terror had passed, and we were packing up orders when our other dog, Balrog showed signs of immediate ocular distress, with his eyes developing serious exotropia and his nictitating membrane turning bluish and swollen. We rushed him to the emergency vet.

While they still aren't entirely certain why his eyes showed such a dramatic reaction, they did find out that, despite being on preventative, Balrog had contracted Lyme disease. After a number of blood and physical tests, they also decided that the heavy antibiotic dose he'd be starting for the disease should help treat his eyes as well, even if it is something else causing it. He goes back in in a month for more tests and evaluation to see if the Lyme disease has gone dormant (They are never "cured" but if caught early enough, the disease can stay dormant and not affect their lifespan or quality of life.) and to see if his eyes are still showing the divergence. 

So anyway, a half dozen doctors and almost 4k in bills, pills, and specialty diets later, in the worst April/May we've had since my wife almost died in 2020, we are getting our stuff back together and shipping will start back up this week. (The timing on all of this made it much more difficult for us too - her medical event still has a daily toll on us.)

Happily, daddy and daughter are back together and both recovering, and we will start getting packages into the mail again! (And answering emails, etc)

Addresses LOCKING - Shipping has begun!

Greetings, Knights! 

IMPORTANT UPDATE: In 48 hours, Backerkit will lock all addresses that have completed the Pledge Manager and shipping will begin. This likely won't affect too many of you, since the PM has been open for a relatively brief time, but please double-check your address if you have moved or are worried about having an old address saved on Backerkit! 

Backerkit will also be closing any open preorders and re-charging any errored payments. If you have any problems, please reach out to me. I have been ill and dealing with some family issues for the last two weeks, but I am back again and will be devoting as much time to shipping and addressing any issues as I can! 

We still have a few folks who haven't completed the pledge manager - if you are someone who needs adjustment or has questions about VAT/Shipping/etc and has sent me an email, I'll be getting back to you in the next few days. 

If you haven't filled out the Pledge Manager - orders will be locked, but we will still have ways to get you your pledge - I'll reach out to stragglers once everything is shipped. Shipping may take a couple of weeks - Everything is finished, but I am assembling, packing, and shipping everything myself and I want to make sure I don't miss anything! 

If you missed out on an add-on or want extra copies, the remaining stock of the book and the Mixam print runs of the Ditto Editions will be on our website and in a few online retailers after all rewards have shipped. I may have a limited amount of the Mörk Borg mutation packs left as well, but I will likely save those for order issues and not list them (there are a lot of hand-written pieces in there that I'd prefer to not have to do again. haha)
